Raymond - Collette

West Warwick, R.I. - The Valley Country Club was the setting for the wedding ceremony and reception of Samantha Karen Raymond and Sean Michael Collette on Oct. 5, 2013.

The bride's co-worker and friend, Cheryl Carney, officiated during the ceremony, which was followed by a cocktail hour and seated dinner reception.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Raymond of South Attleboro. The groom is the son of Mrs. Debra Collette of Greenville, N.H., and the late Mr. Joseph E. Collette Sr., formerly of Cumberland.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white, strapless, taffeta gown, which featured a pick-up swirl skirt and empire waist with beaded applique detailing, ruched bodice, and a sweep train. It was complemented by a Swarovski crystal and pearl headband and a wrist-length, two-tiered veil with modest beading along the trim.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of purple carnations with white roses wrapped with the detailed bodice of her mother's wedding gown.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Trisha Borges, a cousin of the bride.

The bridal attendants were Mrs. Kathy Antunes, and Ms. Melissa O'Connell, Ms. Sheri Bishop and Miss Abigail Barnicoat, all cousins of the bride. Miss Hannah Parent, niece of the groom, was a junior bridesmaid.

The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore floor length, plum-colored, one shoulder chiffon gowns with flower accents on the shoulder and satin empire waists. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of white carnations tied with purple satin.

Mr. Nicholas Jzyk served as best man.

The ushers were Mr. Peter Antunes, Mr. Kevin Parker, Mr. Matthew Szczoczarz, Mr. Nathaniel Raymond, brother of the bride, and Mr. Jared Parent, nephew of the groom.

The bride graduated from Mansfield High School, and now works at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.

The groom attended Cumberland High School. He now works as the general manager of Express Car Detailing in Natick.

After a wedding trip to Bethel, Vt., and North Conway, N.H., the couple makes their home in Cumberland.
