Doherty - Wirth

Falmouth - Kaitlin Marie Doherty and Jonathan David Wirth were married June 7 during a ceremony on Old Silver Beach in Falmouth. Edward J. Doherty, father of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

A reception followed at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Doherty of Mattapoisett. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Wirth of Taunton.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Maggie Sottero Bernadette ivory gown with buttons over a zipper closure. The dress featured intricate alencon lace with a high mandarin keyhole back and a fishtail train finished with scalloped edging. Swarovski crystals were sprinkled throughout the gown with rich decorative beading at the empire waist. An elegant pearl filigree and Swarovski headpiece with fingertip veil completed the ensemble.

She carried a bouquet of ivory roses with diamond-centered calla lilies, which were wrapped with a satin and lace material from her mother's wedding dress.

Christine Ehlers served as matron of honor for her sister.

The bridesmaid was Danielle Dumaine.

The flower girls were Kelsey McNamara and Jordan Sanderson, cousins of the bride.

Martin Washburn and Kevin Wirth, both brothers of the groom, served as best men.

The ring bearers were Johnny Sanderson and Brody McNamara, both cousins of the bride, and David Wirth, nephew of the groom.

The bride graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2003. She received certification as medical assistant in 2006 from the Health Training Center in Cambridge, and also attended Massasoit Community College.

The groom attended Taunton schools. He is employed at the Falmouth Royal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as the assistant director of maintenance.

After honeymooning at a resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides on Cape Cod.
