Katie Bourgette & Keith Ventola
August 22, 2009
Country Gardens, Rehoboth, Mass.

ABOUT THE COUPLE

How they met:
Katie and Keith were introduced by the bride's cousin Renee Dupras. They were invited to her home to watch a Patriots game together and haven't been apart since.

How he proposed:
Keith and Katie took a trip to Jamaica. On the second to the last day of their vacation, they were headed to enjoy dinner with friends when Keith led Katie to the beach instead. There was a gazebo in the ocean and Keith had coordinated a private five-course dinner for them out there through sunset and into the evening. After desert, the server asked if they would like fruit, then he brought a conch shell Keith had provided with grapes in it. When Katie pulled out the grapes and all the ribbon, her engagement ring was in the shell and Keith got down on one knee and proposed.

Bride's education and occupation: Katie graduated from Attleboro High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Bridgewater State College. She is a workforce manager/specialist for CVS Corporate in Smithfield, R.I.

The theme: The couple used a flower theme, with emphasis on the colors of green and pink, that stretched from the bride's dress to the centerpieces and ceiling adornments.
